San Francisco - Early 1930s
It seems like San Francisco has been
featured in the news a lot these days. Unfortunately most of the
time it is for all the wrong reasons. Scenes on the nightly news
don't paint a pretty picture. It has been many years since I have
visited this once fair city - both for business as well as a
family vacation. My times there were enjoyable and that's the way
I would like to remember it. .

In 1931, when my Dad was a young
man, he and a friend took a cross country trip from the upper
mid-west to the west coast. When they stopped to visit San
Francisco he picked this 16 page brochure high-lighting the many
features this west coast "rising star" had to offer for
